Sunset Lake is the largest of the lakes in the association. It has the most camps. The camps can be reached via Perch Pond road from the West, or by Sunset Lake Road in the east. There are a few year round camps on Sunset, and many seasonal camps. Sunset Lake has some of the clearest water of any in the state, ranking as high as #5 one year. It has had small outbreaks of invasive plants over the years, but they have been kept in check by vigilant landowners through hand pulling. Recently with the resurgence of the loon population in Vermont, there have been resident loons, quite a treasure.
